Kalani Reyes

Kalani Reyes is a loud Micronesian-Chamorro media creative—currently working full-time as a coral restoration coordinator—from the islands of the Marianas. Having graduated from Marianas High School and attended the University of Guam for her Bachelor’s in Integrative Biology for Marine Biology, all her interests led her back to the sea, where she is rooted culturally and career-wise, and to her home island of Saipan.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, she had time to dabble in audio production and ended up becoming the host and an executive producer of the 14-episode series The Deep Pacific Podcast, a podcast that shared islander views and voices during a critical time, produced with a team of over 50 other Pacific Islanders.

Today, she uses her free time to continue exploring creative pursuits, volunteering for causes she cares about, playing Pokémon, drinking coffee with loved ones, sharing stories, and spending time with family and friends—preferably on a beach at sunset.
